Temples in Kyoto - Part II

Off to see more temples on more very uniquely Japanese streets...
Japan was the first place in quite some time that we've travelled to that I actually felt like we stood out...but the Japanese people are very friendly and warm so it wasn't a bad feeling...
Get me out of here!

Up lots of hills, lots of steps and almost to the temple...look at our little girl go!

What a great workout carrying Lily up!
We made it to the top!
This was a massive temple and so interesting. Loved all the wooden structures...
The main attraction at this temple was this water well. Look at the huge line to get to it!

Since we came all this way to see this temple, Chip and Maddie decided to wait in the long queue to get to the well...can you spot Chip (hehe)?!?!
Finally it was their turn and Maddie loved catching the water! Definitely worth the wait...
The next temple we went to was known to us as the red gates temple. Kids loved this one!!! There were so many gates so close together that it was like walking through a tunnel. Which way to go?!?

The girls decided on which way we were going to go...

Lily couldn't get off the path so it was a fabulous place to let her run free!

 The sisters are off...
 Love the traditional Japanese dress...
We saw quite a few other temples and I have hundreds of more photos of them...but I decided to just post about our favorites!
