Maddie had a school presentation while Nora was here. Maddie was thrilled to see her Aunt Nora in the audience. Her class had been learning about world monuments this term and the theme was United Nations. Here she comes...Miss America! Each child represented the county where they come from.
When I look at her class and see at least 15 countries represented, it amazes me the experiences and exposure Maddie is getting at such a young age.
Maddie is in the middle surrounded by Australia, Turkey, Spain and China...
The children had lines in the presentation and Maddie and this other little girl talked about the Eifel Tower of France. She did a great job!
So proud of our little girl!
It is amazing to me that Maddie can grasp the concept of other countries at such a young age. Try explaining to a 3 year old that she was born in Australia, lives in Singapore, however holds an American passport (even though she has never lived there). Confusing right?! She claims she is Singaporean and that her parents are from America...I guess we're getting there :)
