Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Our next trip with Nora was to KL, which is a very easy 4.5 hour drive from Singapore. Once we arrived in KL, we jumped on a bus and got to exploring.  Do you notice the inside of the bus? Kind of felt like we were at a disco!
The girls playing their part in the 'disco' bus!
Our first stop was to a pewter factory, where we got to see and learn how pewter is made. It really is a fascinating process with tons of work and stages to get to the end result...
End result...very beautiful (and very expensive!).
Largest pewter mug in the world!  Made us thirsty...
Lily moving the Mancula stones from bin to bin! She loved the game...by her rules of course!
Next stop...Royal Palace. I hadn't even realized Malaysia had a monarchy so this was a very exciting discovery. The public is not allowed inside...
The kids LOVED running all around the grounds...
And of course the obligatory photo with the very serious guard...
I'm not sure if this couple just got married, but their outfits were so beautiful! Thought it would be rude to take a photo of them in the front...so I took one from behind.
Next we visited Malaysia's iconic symbol...the Petronas Towers...
View of KL's CBD from the hotel we were staying in...
Also during our trip to KL we visited a chocolate factory...which was delicious! A batik art factory which was also really interesting. Sorry no pics from these places... We had a lovely weekend in KL. Chip goes to KL all the time for work...however, he had never explored the city apart from a few restaurants, his office and hotel. So he really enjoyed getting to know KL better! I still think it's pretty cool we can travel by car to another country!
