Gion District

We spent a day in the famous Gion Distrtict in Kyoto. Lovely place to explore. This area is known to be very traditional Japanese and one of the only places left in Japan that has real life Geishas. It was beautiful and also a good change from temples!

Japanese displays can be very interesting! Such as this display that was in one of the restaurants...

We ate at a very well known restaurant in this area. Usually hard to get a booking...but with the little ones we eat very early so we were lucky! 

Course after course of delicious food and Japanese beers...amazing!
